At dumped & ditched we work hard to restore mid-century and antique furniture using the traditional finishing techniques. We believe in the importance of preserving the original finish and patina where possible.

Traditionally, the wood work on vintage furniture was polished using an oil finish like Danish oil or French shellac polish. These days a quicker and cheaper finish like spray lacquer may be used, and while it does the job, it simply cannot compare to the smooth satin finish of traditional hand polishing. Many vintage and mid-century furniture pieces simply need a refresh polishing to give the wood work back its beautiful finish.

We can fix structural damages and restore show-wood back to its former glory. Nothing too big, nothing too small.
