Bio Wax is an improved more durable version of the traditional wax paste used by woodworkers, french polishers and other timber trades.

Traditionally Wax Paste was pure beeswax, which added a layer of protection to the timber and created a softer more agreeable surface. Unfortunately as far as timber protection, beeswax alone is too soft. Beeswax as a product on its own, can wear off and mark easily. For this reason our Bio Wax Paste is a mixture of beeswax and other natural waxes and oils. For instance carnauba wax is now added, it has the highest melting point of all the waxes. It is often used to shine and protect cars. Also being food safe, carnauba is used to coat fruit such as apples to prolong their shelf life.

Using Paste Wax as a Finish on its own.

Bio Wax offers woodworkers a beautiful and traditional finish, although it is best used as a maintenance product. Using the paste wax over an existing finish can give a piece an unmatched shine and gloss. Bio Wax paste can be used to maintain Evolution Hardwax Oils, lacquer, varnish, shellac, polyurethane or other wood oil finishes. It will give you a little extra protection against scratches, cracks and filling imperfections. It allows the light to reflect, limiting the visibility of small damage done to the timber and brings a beautiful satin to gloss finish.
